Description

The Old Cuban is a refined modern classic that blends aged rum, mint, lime, sugar, bitters, and sparkling wine. It combines the freshness of a Mojito with the celebratory polish of a Champagne cocktail, giving it wide appeal among cocktail lovers.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Aged Rum
  • 20 ml lime juice (fresh)
  • 20 ml Simple Syrup
  • 6 mint leafs
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Sparkling Wine to top
  • 1 mint leaf (sprig, optional)

Instructions

  1. Add aged rum, lime juice, simple syrup, mint leaves, and bitters to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well until chilled.
  3. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a mint sprig if using.
