Banana Bread Old Fashioned

Description

Banana Bread Old Fashioned builds a familiar baking aroma around bourbon without sacrificing the strong, stirred character of the classic. Banana liqueur gives ripe fruit, maple syrup suggests the caramelised crust and Angostura brings cinnamon-clove spice.

A single dash of chocolate bitters adds the dark roasted note that makes the flavour feel baked rather than simply fruity.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bourbon
  • 10 ml Banana liqueur
  • 5 ml Maple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Chocolate bitters
  • 1 piece Orange Peel (for garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add bourbon, banana liqueur, maple syrup and bitters to a mixing glass.
  2. Fill with ice and stir for 20 to 25 seconds.
