Description

What makes Vesper worth making is the way its flavours move across the glass. This is a drink about control. Gin, vodka and lillet blanc need dilution, chill and patience so the stronger flavours knit together instead of shouting over one another.

When it is right, the first sip feels firm and aromatic, then opens into spice, sweetness or bitterness depending on the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin
  • 15 ml Vodka
  • 10 ml Lillet Blanc
  • 1 piece Lemon twist (for garnish)

Equipment needed

Cocktail Shaker – Used to shake until well chilled. Fine Mesh Strainer – Used to fine strain into the glass.

Instructions

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with a lemon twist.
