The Lions Tail is a Prohibition-era cocktail that first appeared in "The Cafe Royal Cocktail Book" in 1937. It blends bourbon with allspice dram, offering a warm and spiced profile.

The addition of lime juice balances the sweetness, making it a complex yet approachable drink.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bourbon
  • 15 ml Allspice Dram
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml Simple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 piece Lime Twist (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with a lime twist.
