Gold Rush

Description

The Gold Rush is a modern classic because it takes the whiskey sour idea and makes one elegant change: honey syrup instead of plain sugar. Bourbon brings vanilla and oak, lemon gives the sour edge, and honey adds a rounded, floral richness.

Created during the New York cocktail revival, it feels both familiar and fresh. It is smooth without being soft, bright without being thin, and one of the easiest whiskey drinks to recommend to someone who wants something classic but not old-fashioned.
