Cereal Milk Punch

Description

Cereal Milk Punch uses the creamy milk-punch family as the right home for cereal-milk flavour. Bourbon brings vanilla and oak, a little dark rum adds molasses depth and cereal milk contributes toasted grain and nostalgic sweetness.

Maple and vanilla are deliberately restrained so the cereal remains recognisable. Fresh nutmeg on top turns the aroma toward breakfast spice without making the drink cloying.

Ingredients

  • 35 ml Bourbon
  • 10 ml Dark rum
  • 60 ml Cereal Milk (well chilled and fine-strained)
  • 8 ml Maple syrup
  • 5 ml Vanilla syrup
  • grated nutmeg
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add bourbon, dark rum, cereal milk, maple syrup and vanilla syrup to a shaker.
  2. Fill with ice and shake hard for 12 seconds.
  3. Double strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
  4. Finish with freshly grated nutmeg.
