Mint Julep

Description

Mint Julep is built around bourbon, sugar syrup, 8 to 10 mint leaves, giving it a clear identity from the first sip. The Mint Julep is closely tied to the American South and became famous as a crushed-ice bourbon drink served in a frosted metal cup.

What makes it great is the balance: the base brings structure, the fruit or aromatic element gives personality, and the chilled serve keeps everything crisp. It has enough theatre for a cocktail menu but remains simple enough for a confident home bartender.

Serve it when the table needs a conversation starter: colourful, balanced and easy to imagine as a signature drink for a party.
