Lemon Drop Martini

Description

There is a useful confidence to Lemon Drop Martini. The recipe combines Vodka, Triple Sec, lemon juice, and Sugar syrup. Fresh acidity gives the drink its shape, while sweeter and aromatic ingredients round the edges rather than masking the base.

Serve it very cold as a first drink, a weekend cocktail or a lively round with friends. Taste before serving and make small adjustments; balance is easier to preserve that way.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Vodka
  • 20 ml Triple Sec
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 10 ml Sugar syrup
  • Ice
  • Sugared rim
  • Lemon twist

Instructions

  1. Add the vodka, orange liqueur, fresh lemon juice and syrup to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard until very cold.
  3. Fine strain into a chilled, sugar-rimmed cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a lemon twist.
