Description

The Last Word was first created at the Detroit Athletic Club during Prohibition. It fell out of popularity until its revival in the early 2000s.

The drink balances the herbal notes of Green Chartreuse with the citrus of lime juice, creating a vibrant and complex flavour.

Ingredients

30 ml Gin
30 ml Green Chartreuse
30 ml Maraschino Liqueur
30 ml lime juice
1 cherry (for garnish)

Equipment needed

Cocktail Shaker – Used to shake the drink with ice. Fine Mesh Strainer – Used to fine strain into the coupe.

Instructions

Shake all ingredients with ice.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a cherry.
