Drambuie Sour

Description

Drambuie Sour is the sort of drink that makes sense from the first sip. The recipe combines Drambuie, Scotch whisky, lemon juice, Sugar syrup, and Egg White. The goal is silkiness rather than simple sweetness: proper chilling and controlled dilution keep the base visible beneath the richer ingredients.

It works especially well after dinner or when you want one drink to feel like a small occasion in its own right. Use fresh ice and serve promptly so the texture and aroma arrive at their best.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Drambuie
  • 20 ml Scotch whisky
  • 25 ml lemon juice
  • 10 ml Sugar syrup
  • 1 piece Egg White (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add the liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds until the drink is properly chilled.
  3. Fine strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice or served straight up.
  4. Garnish to echo the main flavour and serve immediately.
