Description

The Brooklyn cocktail is a classic pre-Prohibition drink, often seen as a variation of the Manhattan. It was first documented in "Jacks Manual" in 1908.

The cocktail combines rye whiskey, dry vermouth, maraschino liqueur, and Amer Picon, offering a bittersweet, complex profile.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Rye whiskey
  • 25 ml Dry Vermouth
  • 5 ml Maraschino Liqueur
  • 5 ml Amer Picon
  • 1 cherry (optional garnish)
  • 1 piece Orange Twist (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with a cherry or orange twist.
