Description

The Ward 8 cocktail was created in Boston in 1898 and named after a political district in the city. It is a whiskey sour variation that adds grenadine and orange juice for extra fruitiness.

This drink has a well-balanced flavor, combining the richness of whiskey with a bright citrus profile.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Rye whiskey
  • 25 ml lemon juice
  • 25 ml Orange juice
  • 10 ml Grenadine

Instructions

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.
