Tommy's Margarita

Description

There is a useful confidence to Tommy's Margarita. The recipe combines Blanco tequila, lime juice, and Agave syrup. Fresh acidity gives the drink its shape, while sweeter and aromatic ingredients round the edges rather than masking the base.

Serve it very cold as a first drink, a weekend cocktail or a lively round with friends. Taste before serving and make small adjustments; balance is easier to preserve that way.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Blanco tequila
  • 25 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml Agave syrup
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist
  • half salt rim

Instructions

  1. Add the liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds until the drink is properly chilled.
  3. Fine strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice or served straight up.
  4. Garnish to echo the main flavour and serve immediately.
