Description

Miso Caramel Old Fashioned is built around bourbon, miso caramel syrup, bitters, giving it a clear identity from the first sip. It takes the Old Fashioned idea of spirit, sweetness and bitters and bends it towards a more seasonal or expressive mood.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bourbon
  • 10 ml Miso caramel syrup
  • 2 dashes Bitters
  • 5 ml Bitters tincture
  • Ice
  • Expressed citrus peel

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving.

Instructions

  1. Add the liquid ingredients to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
  2. Stir until very cold and lightly diluted.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice or served straight up.
  4. Garnish with a clean aromatic finish and serve immediately.
