Graveyard Fog

Description

Graveyard Fog should feel intentional from the first sip, not like a random mixture poured over ice. Mezcal, elderflower liqueur and agave syrup give it a flavour story that is easy to understand but not boring. The best version has a clear beginning, middle and finish: aroma first, then sweetness or fruit, then enough acidity or bitterness to clean up the sip.

That makes it useful for home mixing because it feels generous without needing complicated technique.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Mezcal
  • 20 ml Elderflower Liqueur
  • 20 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml Agave syrup
  • 1 dash Smoked Salt (for rim)
  • 1 piece Lime Wheel

Equipment needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare a rocks glass by rimming it with smoked salt.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with mezcal, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, and agave syrup.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain into the prepared glass over a large, clear ice cube.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim.
