Fig and Espresso Boulevardier

Description

Fig and Espresso Boulevardier builds on flavours already at home beside whiskey: dried fruit, coffee, bitter orange and spice. Bourbon provides warmth, Campari supplies bitterness and sweet vermouth brings herbs and dark fruit.

Fig liqueur adds richness while a small measure of espresso cordial gives roasted depth without forcing a stirred cocktail to carry fresh coffee foam.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Bourbon
  • 20 ml Campari
  • 20 ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 10 ml Fig liqueur
  • 5 ml Espresso Cordial
  • 1 piece Orange Peel (for garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add bourbon, Campari, sweet vermouth, fig liqueur and espresso cordial to a mixing glass.
  2. Fill with ice and stir for 20 to 25 seconds.
  3. Strain over a large cube in a rocks glass.
  4. Express an orange peel over the drink and garnish.
