Apple Cider Mule

Description

The Apple Cider Mule is a seasonal twist on the classic Moscow Mule, which was first created in the 1940s in Los Angeles by combining vodka, ginger beer, and lime. This autumn-inspired variation swaps part of the ginger beer for cloudy apple cider, adding natural sweetness and a cosy fall character. A cinnamon stick garnish and optional dash of bitters round out the flavour, making it perfect for Thanksgiving, autumn parties, or simply a crisp evening drink.

The cocktail retains the signature refreshing fizz of the Mule but layers in orchard flavours and warming spice like biting into a spiced apple. Served in the traditional copper mug, it looks striking while staying ice cold.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Vodka
  • 90 ml Cloudy Apple Cider
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • Ginger Beer to top
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 piece Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 pieces Apple Slices (fan for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a copper mug with ice.
  2. Add vodka, apple cider, and lime juice. Stir briefly.
  3. Top with ginger beer (and bitters if using).
  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and fresh apple slices.
