Description

Velour Vesper is built around gin, vodka liqueur, lillet modifier, giving it a clear identity from the first sip. Its roots are more inspirational than archival, borrowing the confidence of classic bar families while giving them a contemporary flavour direction.

What makes it great is the balance: the base brings structure, the fruit or aromatic element gives personality, and the chilled serve keeps everything crisp. It has enough theatre for a cocktail menu but remains simple enough for a confident home bartender.

It works beautifully for weekends, garden drinks and pre-dinner rounds because the flavour is clear without becoming hard work.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Gin
  • 20 ml Vodka liqueur
  • 10 ml Lillet modifier
  • Ice
  • Twist, fruit

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving. Muddler – Useful for gently pressing herbs, fruit or sugar when building the drink.

Instructions

  1. Add the liquid ingredients to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
  2. Stir until very cold and lightly diluted.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice or served straight up.
  4. Garnish with a clean aromatic finish and serve immediately.
