Description

The Trinidad Sour is one of the most unusual modern classics, using Angostura bitters as the main base rather than as seasoning. Balanced with whiskey, lemon, and orgeat, it is rich, spicy, and surprisingly drinkable.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Angostura Bitters
  • 15 ml Rye whiskey
  • 30 ml lemon juice (fresh)
  • 20 ml Orgeat

Instructions

  1. Add Angostura bitters, rye whiskey, lemon juice, and orgeat to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard until chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Serve immediately.
