Description

Fitzgerald should feel intentional from the first sip, not like a random mixture poured over ice. The sour structure gives the drink its discipline: spirit for weight, citrus for energy and sweetness for shape. Gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and bitters should feel bright and deliberate, with the tart edge making the flavour pop rather than vanish.

The best version tastes alive, not merely acidic; it should leave a clean finish and make the next sip feel inviting.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin
  • 30 ml lemon juice (fresh)
  • 15 ml Simple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 piece lemon juice (twist, optional)

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters to a cocktail shaker with ice.
