Pink Pepper Paloma is built around tequila, pink pepper syrup, citrus juice, giving it a clear identity from the first sip. It belongs to the bright agave family of drinks, where citrus, salt and fruit can make tequila or mezcal feel sharp, sunny and sociable.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Tequila
  • 20 ml Pink pepper syrup
  • 20 ml citrus juice
  • 10 ml Grapefruit Cordial
  • Grapefruit Soda to top
  • Ice
  • garnish

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving. Muddler – Useful for gently pressing herbs, fruit or sugar when building the drink. Bottle Opener – Useful if the serve uses bottled soda, ginger beer or sparkling wine.

Instructions

  1. Add the spirit, citrus and flavouring ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly until the base is cold.
  3. Strain into the serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with the sparkling ingredient, stir gently and garnish.
