Orange Wine Spritz

Description

Orange Wine Spritz lets orange wine do more work than a standard sparkling mixer. Its tannin, dried-citrus character and gentle savouriness are supported by Aperol, while elderflower adds just enough perfume to soften the edges.

Soda water keeps the serve long and refreshing. This is a wine-led aperitif, so the modifiers are deliberately smaller than in a conventional Aperol Spritz.

Ingredients

  • 75 ml Orange Wine
  • 20 ml Aperol
  • 10 ml Elderflower Liqueur
  • Soda Water to top
  • 1 piece Grapefruit peel (for garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice.
  2. Add orange wine, Aperol and elderflower liqueur.
  3. Top with soda water.
  4. Stir once or twice very gently.
  5. Express a grapefruit peel over the drink and garnish.
