Mexican Martini

Description

What works about Mexican Martini is the contrast between familiar cocktail logic and a more individual flavour combination. The recipe combines Tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, and Olive brine. Fresh acidity gives the drink its shape, while sweeter and aromatic ingredients round the edges rather than masking the base.

Serve it very cold as a first drink, a weekend cocktail or a lively round with friends. Taste before serving and make small adjustments; balance is easier to preserve that way.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Tequila
  • 15 ml Triple Sec
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml Olive brine
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist

Instructions

  1. Add the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice and olive brine to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard until very cold.
  3. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass or serve over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with an olive and a lime twist.
