Description

Gibson earns its place in the glass by keeping the idea clear. The recipe combines Gin and Dry Vermouth. Dilution matters here: enough water opens the aromatics and softens the edges, while over-dilution would flatten the character of the spirit and modifiers.

It suits an unhurried evening, a pre-dinner pour or a late-night drink when you want something composed rather than flashy. Use fresh ice and serve promptly so the texture and aroma arrive at their best.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin
  • 10 ml Dry Vermouth
  • Ice
  • 1 piece Cocktail onion

  1. Add the gin and dry vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir for about 20 seconds until very cold and properly diluted.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a cocktail onion.
