Description

Dragon Garden Fizz takes its cue from Chinese gardens, using Gin, Apple syrup, citrus juice, Lavender cordial, Soda water. Serve well chilled to create a cocktail with a specific cultural mood rather than a vague flavour idea.

The serve works because it has contrast: a recognisable lead flavour, a balancing citrus or aromatic note, and enough lift to keep the drink clean. It is designed to feel modern, photogenic and easy to understand from the first sip.

Use it as part of a world-cocktail menu, a country-themed party, or a tasting flight where each drink tells a small story about place, colour and occasion.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 20 ml Apple syrup
  • 20 ml citrus juice
  • 10 ml Lavender cordial
  • Soda Water to top
  • Ice

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving. Muddler – Useful for gently pressing herbs, fruit or sugar when building the drink. Bottle Opener – Useful if the serve uses bottled soda, ginger beer or sparkling wine.

Instructions

  1. Add the spirit, citrus and flavouring ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly until the base is cold.
  3. Strain into the serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with the sparkling ingredient, stir gently and garnish.
