Frozen Fractals

Description

Frozen Fractals should feel intentional from the first sip, not like a random mixture poured over ice. The frozen texture softens the edges, so the drink needs enough citrus and lift to stop it tasting heavy. Vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps and blue curaçao do that job well: fruit brings the holiday feeling, citrus keeps it awake and the spirit gives it a proper cocktail backbone.

Serve it very cold, but not rock-solid; the best version is thick enough to feel luxurious and loose enough to drink without fighting the glass.

Ingredients

  • 35 ml Vanilla Vodka
  • 15 ml Peppermint Schnapps
  • 10 ml Blue Curacao
  • 30 ml Single Cream
  • 5 ml Sugar syrup

Instructions

  1. In a shaker with ice, combine vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, blue curaçao, cream and a little syrup. Shake until frothy and cold. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Top with whipped cream or a candy cane rim for a wintry finish.
