Description

The appeal of Festival Fizz is immediate: it has a strong flavour direction without becoming complicated. The recipe combines Vodka, Raspberry syrup, lime juice, Lime Cordial, and Soda Water. Bubbles keep the serve open and refreshing, so the richer or sweeter elements stay light on the palate.

It fits naturally into aperitif hour, garden drinks, parties or any round where you want flavour without a heavy finish. Use fresh ice and serve promptly so the texture and aroma arrive at their best.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Vodka
  • 20 ml Raspberry syrup
  • 20 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml Lime Cordial
  • Soda Water to top
  • Ice
  • Lime Wheel

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving. Muddler – Useful for gently pressing herbs, fruit or sugar when building the drink. Bottle Opener – Useful if the serve uses bottled soda, ginger beer or sparkling wine.

Instructions

  1. Add the spirit, citrus and flavouring ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly until the base is cold.
  3. Strain into the serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with the sparkling ingredient, stir gently and garnish.
