Chartreuse Swizzle

Description

The charm of Chartreuse Swizzle is in the contrast: familiar flavours, but with enough shape to make it memorable. The danger with tropical drinks is that they can become all juice and no direction. Here, Green Chartreuse, pineapple juice, lime juice and falernum give the serve a clearer shape: fruit for generosity, acidity for snap and spirit for warmth.

The result should feel abundant and sunny, but still balanced enough that you want a second sip rather than a glass of syrup.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Green Chartreuse
  • 30 ml Pineapple juice
  • 23 ml lime juice (fresh)
  • 15 ml Falernum
  • 1 mint leaf (sprig, optional)

Instructions

  1. Add Green Chartreuse, pineapple juice, lime juice, and falernum to a tall glass.
  2. Fill with crushed ice.
  3. Swizzle or churn until the outside of the glass is lightly frosted.
  4. Top with more crushed ice, garnish with mint if using, and serve.
