Spiced Cherry Tonic is built around gin, spiced cherry syrup, citrus juice, giving it a clear identity from the first sip. This drink is not a dusty museum classic; it feels like a modern house serve designed for people who want a cocktail with a point of view.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Gin
  • 20 ml Spiced cherry syrup
  • 20 ml citrus juice
  • 10 ml Tonic cordial
  • Soda Water to top
  • Ice
  • garnish

Equipment needed

Bar Spoon – Used to stir the drink smoothly with ice before serving. Muddler – Useful for gently pressing herbs, fruit or sugar when building the drink. Bottle Opener – Useful if the serve uses bottled soda, ginger beer or sparkling wine.

Instructions

  1. Add the spirit, citrus and flavouring ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly until the base is cold.
  3. Strain into the serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with the sparkling ingredient, stir gently and garnish.
