Corpse Reviver No.1 was first mentioned in Harry Craddock's 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book.

Unlike its lighter counterpart, the No.2, this variation is a robust and warming drink made with cognac, Calvados, and sweet vermouth.

• 45ml Cognac
• 22.5ml Avallen Calvados
• 22.5ml Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
• 1 dash Orange Bitters

Fill a mixing glass with ice and add cognac, Calvados, and sweet vermouth.

Stir well and strain into a chilled coupe glass.

Garnish with an orange twist.
