Coconut Blood Orange Margarita

Description

Coconut Blood Orange Margarita now delivers exactly what its name promises. Blanco tequila provides the agave core, blood orange brings bittersweet citrus, lime supplies the sharp Margarita backbone and triple sec reinforces orange oils.

Toasted coconut syrup adds aroma and a soft nutty sweetness without the heavy texture of coconut cream. The result stays bright, cold and recognisably a Margarita.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Blanco tequila
  • 20 ml Triple Sec
  • 30 ml Blood Orange Juice
  • 20 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml Toasted coconut syrup
  • 1 piece Lime Wheel (for garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. If desired, prepare a half-salt rim on a margarita or rocks glass.
  2. Add tequila, triple sec, blood orange juice, lime juice and toasted coconut syrup to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds.
  4. Fine strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice or serve straight up.
  5. Garnish with a blood-orange wheel if available or a lime wheel.
