Sloe Royale

Description

The Sloe Royale is a British twist on the classic Kir Royale. Instead of using crème de cassis, this recipe highlights sloe gin, a traditional English liqueur made by steeping sloe berries (a type of wild plum) in gin with sugar. The result is a deep red, berry-flavoured spirit that balances tartness and sweetness. Topped with Champagne, the Sloe Royale is elegant yet vibrant, offering notes of red fruit, gentle botanicals, and crisp bubbles. This cocktail is often served as a celebratory aperitif, which is perfect for festive gatherings, weddings, or New Year’s Eve. Its jewel-like colour and sparkling finish make it visually striking while remaining simple to prepare.
