Description

Phantom’s Velvet Shadow works best when it is treated as more than a list of ingredients. The point is texture as much as flavour. Black vodka, dark crème de cacao and irish cream create a soft, rounded drink, but the best version still has enough spirit and aromatic detail to avoid becoming a milkshake. It should feel plush, not cloying.

A small garnish or spice note helps the finish, giving the richness somewhere to go after the first sip.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Black Vodka
  • 25 ml Dark Creme de Cacao
  • 25 ml Irish Cream
  • 20 ml Double cream

Instructions

  1. Add the black vodka, dark crème de cacao, Irish cream, and double cream into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until creamy and frothy.
  3. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Lightly dust the surface with cocoa powder.
  5. Garnish with a chocolate shaving or curl for added decadence.
  6. Serve immediately as a luxurious dessert cocktail.
