Parma Violet Gin Fizz

Description

The Parma Violet Gin Fizz turns a divisive little sweet into a surprisingly elegant floral cocktail. Violet liqueur brings that unmistakable perfumed note, gin gives it botanical structure, and fizz lifts the whole thing so it feels light rather than cloying.

This is the drink for people who like floral cocktails, pastel colours and a bit of drama in the glass. Keep the sweetness restrained and let the bubbles do their job: the result is delicate, aromatic and far more grown-up than the sweet-wrapper inspiration suggests.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Gin
  • 25 ml Violet Liqueur
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml Sugar syrup
  • 1 piece Egg White
  • Soda Water to top
  • 1 piece Edible Flowers (for garnish)

Instructions

Add gin, violet liqueur, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and egg white to a shaker (no ice).

Dry shake for 15 seconds to create a rich foam.

Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

Double strain into a chilled highball glass filled with ice.

Top with soda water and stir gently to blend.

Garnish with crushed Parma Violet sweets around the rim and a violet flower or edible petals on top.
