Cocktail recipe

Mimosa recipe.

Mimosa is bright, bubbly and built for the first round, with Champagne and fresh orange juice giving the drink a clearer flavour story and a more useful reason to make it.

Description

What makes Mimosa worth making is the way its flavours move across the glass. The bubbles are not just there for decoration: they lift the aroma, stretch the sweetness and make Champagne and fresh orange juice feel lighter in the mouth. That is why the drink lands so well as an aperitif, a brunch serve or a first drink before food.

Keep the build cold and avoid over-stirring after the fizz goes in, because the sparkle is part of the flavour.

Ingredients

  • 75 ml Champagne
  • 75 ml Orange juice
  • 1 piece Orange Twist (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill a Champagne flute before preparing the drink.
  2. Fill the flute halfway with fresh orange juice.
  3. Top up slowly with Champagne, allowing it to mix naturally. Do not stir to preserve the bubbles.
  4. Garnish with an orange twist if desired.
