Cursed Candy Corn Sour

Description

Cursed Candy Corn Sour should feel intentional from the first sip, not like a random mixture poured over ice. The sour structure gives the drink its discipline: spirit for weight, citrus for energy and sweetness for shape. Bourbon, cointreau, lemon juice and honey syrup should feel bright and deliberate, with the tart edge making the flavour pop rather than vanish.

The best version tastes alive, not merely acidic; it should leave a clean finish and make the next sip feel inviting.

Ingredients

  • 40 ml Bourbon
  • 20 ml Cointreau
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml Honey syrup
  • 1 piece Egg White
  • 1 piece Orange Peel

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg white into the cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the bourbon, Cointreau, lemon juice, and honey syrup.
  3. First, dry shake (without ice) for about 15 seconds to create foam.
  4. Add ice and shake again vigorously for another 15 seconds to chill and thicken the texture.
  5. Fine strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with a curl of orange peel. Optionally, decorate with candy corn on the side for fun.
