Bramble

Description

Bramble should feel intentional from the first sip, not like a random mixture poured over ice. The sour structure gives the drink its discipline: spirit for weight, citrus for energy and sweetness for shape. Gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and creme de mure should feel bright and deliberate, with the tart edge making the flavour pop rather than vanish.

The best version tastes alive, not merely acidic; it should leave a clean finish and make the next sip feel inviting.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Gin
  • 25 ml lemon juice
  • 13 ml Simple Syrup
  • 13 ml Creme de Mure
  • 1 piece Blackberry (for garnish)

  1. Add gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
