Amaretto Sour

Description

The Amaretto Sour is a cocktail that proves sweetness and sophistication can live beautifully in the same glass. Built around the rich, almond-like flavour of amaretto and the bright sharpness of fresh lemon juice, it creates a drink that is smooth, tangy, and wonderfully inviting. The first sip is soft and slightly nutty, followed by a lively citrus lift that keeps the cocktail feeling fresh rather than heavy. That balance is what has made the Amaretto Sour such an enduring favourite, appealing both to those new to cocktails and to seasoned drinkers who appreciate a drink with charm and depth.

What makes the Amaretto Sour so captivating is its effortless elegance. Often finished with a cherry and lemon garnish, it looks as appealing as it tastes, offering a flavour profile that feels comforting yet polished. In a well-made version, the sweetness is never overpowering; instead, it is carefully balanced to let the amaretto’s warm, distinctive character shine. Easy to enjoy but far from simple, the Amaretto Sour remains a timeless cocktail for anyone who loves smooth texture, bright citrus, and a subtle touch of indulgence.
